Who is responsible?
WebDesignerDirect is operated by PixlWrk Limited, the controller of the personal information collected through this service. WebDesignerDirect is a website-planning and lead-generation service; using it does not appoint PixlWrk Limited or any other business as your website supplier.

What we collect
We collect the business and project information you enter, your name and email address, an optional phone number, your project-contact agreement, your optional provider-introduction preference, and a record of the privacy notice you acknowledged. We may also record limited campaign parameters, the referring website hostname, security logs and technical information needed to operate and protect the service. Please do not enter passwords, special-category information or other sensitive personal information into the brief.
Why we use it
We use the information to create and save your requested website specification and private indicative estimate, provide the downloads, allow DigiPixel / PixlWrk Limited to follow up with you about this specific website project, arrange an additional provider introduction if you request one, operate and secure the service, prevent abuse, and understand which campaigns generated enquiries.
For creating and administering the free service, project-specific follow-up, service security, administration and limited attribution we rely on our legitimate interests in providing and protecting the service, responding to the project you submitted and understanding enquiry sources. The unlock step makes the project-specific contact arrangement clear before you submit your details. If you separately ask us to introduce you to another website provider, we rely on your consent to share the supplier-neutral project information and contact details for that purpose. Where you explicitly request optional AI guidance, we rely on your consent for that optional processing. Project-specific contact is part of the gated WebDesignerDirect service; an additional provider introduction and AI guidance remain optional. We do not treat the project-contact agreement as permission for unrelated marketing.
Optional AI guidance
If you explicitly request AI guidance, only the project fields needed for that step are sent to OpenAI. Your separate contact fields and campaign tags are not included. We request that the response is not stored as a retrievable API response. Provider security or abuse-monitoring retention may still apply. AI suggestions are unconfirmed, do not set prices and do not accept a scope.
Who receives information
We use service providers for secure hosting and infrastructure. Where configured, our PixlMesh systems and the DigiPixel / PixlWrk Limited team may receive the enquiry for customer relationship management, project follow-up and routing. If you separately request an introduction to another provider, we may share your contact details and the supplier-neutral specification or relevant project information so that provider can respond. We do not share the private WebDesignerDirect estimate or your stated budget with an external provider as part of that introduction. That provider may act as an independent controller and should provide its own privacy information for any further relationship. If you request AI guidance, OpenAI acts as an additional technology provider for that request. We do not treat project follow-up or a provider-introduction request as permission for unrelated marketing.
International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer is made, we use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards and carry out the required transfer assessment where applicable. You can ask privacy@pixlwrk.co.uk for information about the safeguard used for a relevant transfer.
How long we keep it
Your online WebDesignerDirect result expires after 90 days and the application retention process removes expired records. If the enquiry is transferred into our CRM for the project-specific follow-up you agreed to, we keep the CRM record only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the enquiry, maintain an appropriate business record, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. A provider that receives the enquiry may retain its own copy under its own privacy notice and retention rules. Backup copies are removed through the applicable backup-retention cycle rather than immediately from every backup image.
Your rights
Depending on the processing and lawful basis, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or to object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Your right to object: you can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests. We will stop unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the processing is needed for legal claims.
Cookies
This service uses necessary session and security cookies to preserve your draft, private brief access and form protection. It does not load advertising pixels or third-party analytics in V1. Campaign parameters supplied in the URL may be retained with an enquiry for attribution.
